Mind's Eye (c) 2005 Shane Stevens

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

v 1.4a Hungarian Edition!

Thanks to placyd, Mind's Eye can now be enjoyed by Hungarians! Yay!
This version has been compiled with the latest AGS 3.01 release, so if there are
any crashes email me at progzmax@gmail.com

v 1.4

Drastically altered the gui! It is now less obtrusive since you rarely have more than
2 inventory items at a time. The button to the left of the inventory window opens the save
screen and the button to the right opens the quit screen. The inventory slider was removed.

Help menu redesigned for the new gui

Manually edited the font to increase readability!

Disabled the F1 key as it is no longer needed.

This should resolve many of the minor issues people have had with the interface.

Additional changes:

The gurney sequence is now somewhat easier.

The icon is now 8-bit! (thanks CJ)

The menu now has the readme listed.

v 1.2b

Occasionally a delirium event will bypass. It has to do with timers and does not prevent completion of Mind's Eye.
Status: This was thought fixed but seemed to still occur randomly. Hopefully it is fixed now, but if not leave me a pm on the forum.
To clarify, the delirium scenes in the Treatment lab and Dr. Mitchell's office SHOULD have dialog.

The room before the orderly puzzle did not reset lighting.
Status: Fixed.

Noah would clip through Knox on the 'bad' ending.
Status: Fixed.

Most important is a new feature some of you asked for. You can now disable the
gui from popping up at the bottom of the screen by pressing F1. Afterwards you can open/close the gui by pressing tab when the mouseover version is disabled. If you want to have the mouseover inventory work just press F1 again.

V 1.2a Fussy Edition!

One death cutscene could not be skipped.
Status: Can now be skipped with the Escape key. (Thanks Whiny Rui)

Roland was sometimes walking in place when he catches Noah in the hallway.
Status: Fixed.

V 1.2

Noah clips through the table in the recreation room.
Status: Fixed. (Thanks Venus)

Burke keeps handing medication after he gives it to you.
Status: Fixed.

You can talk to Curtis by just having his hat.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Erenan)

Interacting with the door when on the gurney lets you use it.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks SergioCornaga)

An interaction dialog was remaining the same after the hall puzzle was solved.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Tom Simpson)

John's background speech continued after he leaves.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Tom Simpson)

Noah clips with Dr. West's door.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Tom Simpson)

A Dialog in the Security ward was not changing after an event.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Tom Simpson)

Knox disappears in flashback.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Tom Simpson)

Region lighting glitch in Knox's office.
Status: .tint wasn't disabling even when properly handled. Used lightlevel as a workaround.

Noah walks through part of wall in the lab.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Tom Simpson)

Occasionally a delirium event will bypass. It has to do with timers and does not prevent completion of Mind's Eye.
Status: Fixed.

Disabled Saving in puzzle areas where it would make it too easy.

Added a new music track (Rec Room ambient tune).

V. 1.1

Known Issues:

The game may run slow on lower end cpus.
Status: As fixed as it can be. See the performance notes for details.

Occasionally a delirium event will bypass. It has to do with timers and does not prevent completion of Mind's Eye.
Status: Fixed?

There was a situation where Roland wasn't appearing in scene 4.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Dave Gilbert)

Noah clips against cell door.
Status: Fixed- (Thanks Dave Gilbert)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Performance Notes:

This game can be taxing on lower end cpus because it uses multiple transparent layers and AGS does not currently support hardware acceleration. If the slowdown is too great, you can speed the game up by running setup and forcing the graphics from 32 bit to 16 bit. Background dialogues in 16 bit will have blue backgrounds as a result due to the lack of an alpha channel. This is normal.

Controls:

F5 opens the Save gui ONLY at the title screen. After that you will need to use the button on the top left of the inventory gui.

F12 opens the interactive help menu where you can find out about the various commands.

Delirium mode disables certain abilities. This is normal.

Certain areas will not allow you to save. This is to prevent abusing savegames to easily bypass stealth sequences.

Story:

All you know is that your name is Noah and you are a patient in a Sanitarium. You want to know who you are, and there begins your story.

Bug reports can be directed to me through private message on the AGS forums at www.bluecup.com/yabb or posted in the official game thread.

I put alot of effort in this game for the short development time, so respect that effort and don't beg for hints every time you hit a bump- it cheapens the gaming experience!

I hope you enjoy the game!
